Burrows Park Upgrade Proposal

Clovelly Crocodiles JRLFC are aware of a Randwick Council proposal to upgrade our home ground of Burrows Park, Clovelly. The proposal includes an upgrade to an International sized football field and a new amenity building. The Clovelly Crocodiles JRLFC committee are in support of these elements of the upgrade.

The proposal to upgrade to an International sized field allows for our U13 aged teams and above to play games at our home ground of Burrows Park. Currently, all games from U13s and above have been played at other grounds throughout Sydney due to the field size requirements set by NSW Rugby League. Additionally, a new building will replace the existing insufficient building and will include change rooms for our male and female teams, accessible facilities, storage, kiosk and a community room for the benefit and use of the local community.

This upgrade is essential to retaining and attracting participation in the local Rugby sporting codes and community-based sport, including continuing to grow female participation which has seen significant growth over the past 3 years. It will also ensure the continued survival of both the Clovelly Crocodiles and Clovelly Eagles. The Clovelly Crocodiles have been based at Burrows Park since inception and with over 100 years of history in our local Clovelly community, this essential upgrade will ensure the success of the club for many more years to come.
